A family's story, an italian story. It began in the historic "villa", at the foot of the hills south of Reggio Emilia, where the Group is based today.
1956
Lauro Ferrarini started the industrial production of cooked ham in the villa at Rivaltella (Reggio Emilia)
1979
The production of Parma Ham began in the EFFE plant of Lesignano de’ Bagni (Parma)
1989
The construction of the EFFE2 plant (Lesignano de’ Bagni, Parma) increased the production of dry-cured hams
1998
The Group’s distribution platforms comes into operation
2000
The Ferrarini Group acquires from Nestlé the Vismara company, founded by Francesco Vismara in 1898 in Casatenovo (Lecco), in the heart of the Brianza region
2003
Expansion of the production complex of Lesignano de’ Bagni (Parma) with the construction of the EFFE3 plant, dedicated to the sliced line
2012
The new, technologically advanced Vismara production plant, located a few kilometres from the historic headquarters at Casatenovo (Lecco), becomes operational
2015
Protagonists at Expo-Milan through Casa Ferrarini, at the heart of the Universal Exhibition
2022
